Hi, I am Kim Torgeson, and I am a special education teacher at Caledonia High School. I graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in elementary education. I taught in elementary classrooms for 13 years. I earned my special education licenses in specific learning disabilities (SLD) and developmental cognitive disabilities (DCD) from Winona State University. I earned my master's degree in learning disabilities from Winona State University.
I enjoy working with small groups of students, bringing them to their potential and independence, and watching them move on to careers and postsecondary school after high school. I am on the Minnesota Council for Exceptional Children (MNCEC) board of directors. I am also a member of the Winona State University Special Education Advisory Council and the Houston-Filmore County Transition Interagency Committee (CTIC).
