FLL (FIRST Lego League) 4th-8thGrade Students ($70 per student fee)

FIRST®(For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO®League (FLL®) is designed to get students excited about science and technology -- and teach them valuable employment and life skills.   FLL tasks include programming an autonomous robot (using the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robot set) to score points on a thematic playing surface, creating an innovative solution to a problem as part of their project, all while being guided by the FLL Core Values. These three elements - the Robot Game, Project, and FLL Core Values - make up what we call our yearly Challenge.

FLL Season: Mondays starting Sept 17th-December 4thfrom 6pm-7:30pm at CHS RoomA166

Rochester Regional FLL Tournament scheduled for December 8th/9th

For more information on Regional FLL Tournament https://hightechkids.org

NOTE: We are returning to Monday nights this season.  If we have large numbers, we may split into 2 nights.  I will work with parents on scheduling if teams are split to 2 nights.  As always, parent mentors are welcome and we will be looking for at least 2 parents (1 per team) to mentor team through the season and Regional Event.

This program features a real-world scientific concept to be explored through research, teamwork, construction, and imagination. Guided by adult Coaches, teams use LEGO®bricks to build a model that moves and develop a Show MePoster to illustrate their journey.

JrFLL Season: Tuesdays starting January8th-March 5thfrom 6pm-7pm at CHS RoomA166

NOTE: We will not be participating in the Rochester Regional JrFLL Expo this season.  In lieu of the Rochester event, we will be displaying teams Lego builds at the March 2019 Spring Showcase (Caledonia Elementary School).
